IT was a win, lose and a draw from three Monday tips with the “draw” being the Super Single.
I advised Limerick and when they went 2-0 up the bet could have been covered easily. I chose to do 0.2pts on the draw at 10-1 and in the end I was lucky with that as it ended 3-3.
At 2-0 I actually wrote a limerick about Limerick but I was only going to post it if they won – although in the end my profit was 0.1pt or a quid!
My both to score double landed thanks to games at Nurnberg and Barcelona but the top treble was beaten by Chievo’s failure to score against Salernitana in Coppa Italia.
We now have a hectic Tuesday with Champions League matches, English league games and Petrofac Training Cup clashes.
Man United return to European’s elite tournament with a play-off clash against Bruges and while they’ve stuttered to two 1-0 wins this season Louis van Gaal’s men should take care of the Belgians who don’t have the same quality. United should win to nil and that pays 11-10 at McBookie and Ladbrokes.
I can see United winning something like 2-0 and under 2.5 goals should be considered at 5-4 with 888Sport – and I’m on that as one of my Super Singles. It’s time Wayne Rooney stamped his authority on the big stage with the opening goal at 10-3 at William Hill.
Tie of the night sees Lazio entertain Bayer Leverkusen and the Germans look better prepared. I’ll be on them to qualify at 5-6 with Paddy Power while tonight Bayer draw no bet looks the shout at 21-20.
I’ve seen tips for BATE and Partizan Belgrade which makes life confusing but I don’t see the Serbs losing while Sporting Lisbon should use home advantage to edge out CSKA Moscow.
It’s not comparing like for like but the Old Trafford faithful must wish their side were as prolific as the Fifers who have notched 22 goals in their four outings.
Anyone who gambled on Dunfermline winning 7-1 at the weekend at odds of up to 500-1 won’t be able to resist Forfar 1, Pars 8 tonight but it won’t come in at 400-1 with Ladbrokes.
Forfar also have a 100 per cent record this season and best bet here could be over 2.5 goals at 3-4 with Betway. Dunfermline will tempt punters at over evens but have beaten the Station Park side just once in eight meetings and this should be a close one.
While I’m not a big fan of Petrofac Training Cup betting most teams will play close to full-strength side and you have to fancy Dumbarton at Queen’s Park after back-to-back wins against Hibs and St Mirren, on-form Raith at Stenny and QoS at home to a Livingston side they beat away at the weekend. The treble pays 4-1 at McBookie.
In England I’m tempted by my title tips Middlesbrough at 2-1 with McBookie at Derby and in League One I like Burton at battered Blackpool so much that’s also a Super Single.
However, I agree with our new tipster Greg that Middlesbrough not to lose could be the best option. So take them on an English treble with hot home side Hartlepool against Newport and Tony Mowbray’s Coventry who can back up Saturday’s 4-0 win at Millwall by beating Crewe at home.
There are simply to many games to study them all properly but hopefully we’ll make a profit on the night. I’ve suggested tips worth seven points and may add some later but going out for the day as it’s unusually sunny in Scotland.
